It vents well and can be very private or totally screened off yet enjoy great views. We loved the tent, until… we camped by a lake in Ga, north of Atlanta. It unfortunately rained on us two days pretty much straight. The tent leaked from the roof, right through the rain fly. We had to tape plastic sheets all around it and throw a large sheet over the top so we could sleep without having heavy drips hit our faces. You have plenty of mesh around and if you have to keep all the windows and doors closed, you still have a large vent on its narrow side, see the picture below. Some users complain about strength issues in the wind. With a surface area this massive it’s hard to avoid wind damage so choose your location carefully. The camping tent is very stable and durable, and water-resistant. You can use this tent in windy areas without worrying about tumbling as it has a very stable base and it is shaped exactly to resist falling when hit by wind. Tent is made of polyester and steel with large windows and mesh screen. I didn't think I had a large enough space in my backyard to pitch this tent (14x13.5) I barely squeezed it in my yard. However, as with many budget tents, they are unlikely to perform well in really bad weather and they are not as durable as many higher-performance tents. Improvement should be made in how to repack once down as it’s not easy to get into the carry case. – I bought this tent so my dad and I could take son camping. If you like to keep the inside of the tent clean, the attached mud mat is a gentle reminder to clean your shoes before entering. The screen door is also covered with a removable cover to protect the entrance. The tent also includes hanging organizers, storage pockets, as well as a media pocket to help keep the tent organized. The main area is huge, giving you and the family plenty of room to enjoy each other’s company. Ozark Trail makes tents of all sizes, but we’ve found larger family camping tents to be their forte. We love the center height, at 7 feet and with a cabin design, it creates these huge interiors that feel like a house when you’re inside. We had 3 really heavy Thunderstorms with HEAVY rain and this tent. Five star tent – i purchased a magellan lake wood lodge ten person ten thursday april the 26th in store. We put the tent up friday the 27th of april and discovered two small holes in rain fly. Very Impressed – Great experience and product was set up with in 5 minutes. We even had a pretty windy weekend and the tent held up great. Quick setup, but not the most durable – Since the poles are permanently attached to the tent, the setup is extremely quick.
